(References to HTS in this Privacy Statement apply to all companies in the Group, including the

HTS processes personal data about you when you visit our websites or if you are employed in HTS.
HTS processes personal data in accordance with the acts and regulations in force at any given time
and in compliance with any measures adopted by public authorities.
We are committed to ensuring that you can feel confident that your personal data are processed in a
secure and responsible manner. This Privacy Statement provides you with information about how
we collect personal data and the purposes for which we use them. It also contains information about
how we protect your personal data, to whom we disclose the data and your rights.
2. WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data are any information which can be linked to an individual person, directly or indirectly,
including name, postal address, email address, IP address and telephone number.
3. WHO IS THE DATA CONTROLLER?
HTS Hans Torgersen & Sønn AS (Sundvollhovet, NO-3535 Krøderen), represented by Jostein Støen, IT
Manager, is the data controller for the personal data that we process in connection with use of our
websites and services, or when you contact us in some other way.
4. WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?
HTS processes data such as name, personal identity number, postal address, email address, telephone number,
IP addresses and user name.
Granting us access to your personal data is voluntary. However, in some cases, we may need such
data to provide agreed services or to perform an employment contract.
5. FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE USE PERSONAL DATA?
We also process personal data to enable us to provide services as agreed with the customer as well
as for other customer administration. In continuation hereof, we process personal data to be able to
register new customers. We may also process your personal data for other purposes if you consent

6. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
HTS has established routines and measures for ensuring that unauthorised persons do not gain
access to your personal data and that all data processing is, moreover, in accordance with the
current legislation. These measures include regular data protection impact assessments, technical
systems and physical procedures for information security management and routines for verification
of access and rectification requests.
Unless you are otherwise informed, the personal data that HTS processes are stored on servers
owned by HTS and operated by Office Center Hønefoss or Microsoft.
If we become aware of a security breach in one of our IT systems which may impact your rights, we
will notify you in writing by email or text message. HTS is also obliged to notify the Norwegian Data
Protection Authority of any security breaches within 72 hours from when HTS became aware of the

HTS does not store personal data for longer than necessary to provide our services or perform the
purpose of the processing in some other way.
8. TO WHOM DO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL DATA?
Unless you have granted your explicit consent to disclosure of your personal data, they will only be
disclosed to other parties if this is necessary to enable us to perform our obligations connected with
the assignment in question.
We also disclose personal data to our sub-suppliers, and possibly also public authorities if there is a
statutory duty of disclosure.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
The data protection and privacy rules grant you a number of rights, including right of access, right to
rectification and right to erasure of the personal data that we have stored about you. As from 25
May, you will also have a right to data portability. This means that you will, for example, be entitled
to receive your personal data in a machine-readable format. You also have the right to object to the
processing of personal data as well as to personal profiling and automated decisions. Regarding the
requirement for erasure, an exemption applies for data that are necessary to enable us to provide a
service to which you still wish to have access or where there is a statutory obligation to store the
data for a specific period.
